I graduated from the Central Marseille Grande Ecole (University of Aix Marseille) and hold a PhD in coastal oceanography from the University of Bordeaux (CNRS/EPOC lab) that I obtained in 2015. I qualified for functions of Maître de conférence (tenure associate professorship) from the French National Council of Universities (CNU) in 2019. I have been working as a coastal research scientist principally at the Danish Hydraulics Institute (DHI) in Copenhagen for more than ten years.
My research interests gravitate around the study of nearshore and seabed morphodynamic problems using a range of tools and methodologies like data-driven analysis, numerical modelling or machine learning.
I obtained a Marie Curie global fellowship grant to start a 3-year collaborative project between the University of Auckland and DHI. The research project is called DUNAMICS and focuses on the study of submarines dunes by using a combination of flume measurements, numerical modelling approaches, and the analysis of high resolution in situ multibeam data sets provided by NIWA.
This research project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 101021848.
