Chuang Jin

Biography

I am currently doing Post-doc in Hohai University (China). My research force on the ripple geometry and transient under mixed sand or sand and clay.

I got my Ph.D. degree of Environment Science in the University of Auckland (NZ) in 2020, under supervision of Giovanni Coco. My Ph.D. research is on the morphodynamics of sand ripples. I focus on ripple geometry in response to the change in wave conditions and look into the main factors controlling ripple development rate using both laboratory experiments and high-resolution numerical simulations (LES). My latest research outcomes have been published in ECSS and Geomorphology. All publications are also listed below in this page.

Besides, I been working on the evolution of tidal flats for a couple of years and collaborating with researchers focusing on EPS and tidal flat processes.
